Consumer health supplements e-commerce experience

  • Insight: The health supplement market is congested and in-store sales through large retailers are favoured due to discounts.

  • Design challenge: How can Clinicians build brand presence, loyalty and sales through a D2C e-commerce experience?

  • Idea: A site that goes beyond simply selling products through personalised recommendations, naturopath bookings and immersive product information.

My role in this

As well as leading the team that pitched and won this piece of business with Douglas Pharmaceuticals, I then played a strategic, client-facing role from initial discovery, through concepting, build and release of the new site. This included:

  • Running a dedicated ‘Learn’ phase to deeply understand the business, customer and opportunity

  • A collaborative concepting phase with Experience Design that involved consultation with the client, as well as user interviews, user testing and stakeholder management

  • An agile-driven build of the product, whereby I played a key role in helping the client prioritise features for day 1 and creating a backlog of opportunities

  • The release and ongoing roadmap and management of the product post-release, including the set-up and management of their GA tracking.
